You can help

Because of your special relationship with clients, employees, or members of your organization, you are in a unique position to help. You may see the effects of alcoholism in deteriorating attitudes, relationships, attendance, and performance.

Whether you are aware of a problem or not, educational and informative programs may touch someone who is hurting or may give those suffering the courage to face the problem.

The Edmonton Al-Anon Information Service (AIS), as part of the worldwide fellowship, cooperates with professionals and organizations in the Greater Edmonton area. Assistance is provided entirely by members who volunteer their experience, strength, and hope.

What you and your organization can do to help

  1. Become informed.

  2.
  3. Familiarize yourself with Al-Anon resources.

  4. Provide information on alcoholism and Al-Anon Family Groups to your coworkers, employees, clients, and members.
  5. Link the Edmonton Al-Anon Information Service website to your organization's web page.

  6.
  7. Make referrals to Al-Anon when appropriate. Have the person call the Edmonton AIS at (780) 433-1818 or help them use our website.
